Stolen Smiles

I was a wallflower, i still don't dance

But I chopped off my hair and gave life a second chance

I felt that others all around me, they seem much more astounding,

I found that I still feel a bit more down being

I was a stupid teenager, and I still am

I thought the pretty girls that I saw on Instagram

Were happier cause they seem perfect

I covered my worth with a smile

From each and everyone of them

I didn't realize until I closed my own two eyes

And woke up sad again

I was into debating, and I still am

I argued my way to make my voice heard where I stand

But when I did not have that distraction

My sadness took quick action I borrowed a laugh to cover my sorrow

I was a fireball and I don't underestimate

The things I'll do to do the things that make me feel great

But I still try to be someone else when I'm not being myself

I don't know how much more I can pretend
